The Moon’s purr has scattered into notes all over the sky, and the worlds below have gone quiet. Moon, a small round cat with a lot of bounce, sets out to find the melody and bring it back.
MoonBeat is a rhythm adventure you play with one finger. Moon pounces forward on every beat of the song, no button needed. Your job is to steer each landing, sliding left and right so Moon touches down on the glowing paw pads and not on the skull traps. Land on the beat and the judge shouts PURR-FECT! Every good landing wakes up a little more of the world around you.
Made for Luna
The name is a small family joke: luna means moon in Spanish, and MoonBeat is being made for a girl called Luna. That shaped every decision. The songs are original and cheerful, the challenge is kind, a mistake is never more than one tap from a retry, and there are no ads, accounts or chat.
Five worlds and a heart
The first adventure, The Lost MoonBeat, runs through Moonmeadow, Lantern Pass, Neon Purr City, Starfall Expanse and Tanglefen before the final stage at Moonheart. Each level is built in MoonBeat Studio, a tool made just for this game that listens to each song, finds the beat, and lets us hand-place every paw pad.
MoonBeat is in development for iPhone, iPad and Android tablets and phones.
