Two new games, just in time for Halloween
Kick or Treat is out on iPhone and iPad, and Mummy Scape is out on iPhone, iPad and Android. Both are free, with no ads and no purchases.
Halloween came with a double bill this year. Two ARKD BOX games are out, both free, both a little spooky, and both very different.
Kick or Treat
A Halloween beat ’em up in the style of the 16-bit classics, except Rico’s only weapon is a football. Kick, lob and volley your way through six streets of spellbound neighbours and six bosses, all the way up to a very large Principal. The soundtrack emulates the Yamaha YM2612, the FM sound chip inside the Sega Mega Drive, so it sounds the way you remember.
It’s out now on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. Android is coming soon.
Mummy Scape
A tomb-escape puzzle and a love letter to Oh Mummy, the 1984 Amstrad CPC classic. Walk around stone columns to crack them open, collect the treasure, find the key and get out before the mummies catch your footsteps. Twenty levels, from cosy tombs to 8×8 mazes with five mummies awake.
It’s out now on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and on Google Play for Android phones and tablets.
No tricks
Both games are free, with no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts and no tracking. Pick your scare, and happy Halloween.
